U.S. market slumped Tuesday as technology stocks fell amid concerns of growing trade tensions between the U.S. and China. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.68 percent to close at 25,007.03, while the S&P 500 Index dipped 0.64 percent to close at 2,765.31. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 1.02 percent to close at 7,511.01. Semiconductor stocks were some of the worst performers as The VanEck Vectors Semiconductor ETF fell 1.4 percent.
"The worry is with the Tillerson ouster and Broadcom blockage from the Trump administration that this will add fuel to the fire in a battle versus China on the horizon over the coming 12 to 18 months," said Dan Ives, head of technology research at GBH Insights, in a note, according to CNBC.

Facebook’s stock moved 1.56% lower Tuesday, to close the day at $181.88. The stock recorded a trading volume of 18,067,477 shares, which was below its three months average volume of 21,972,843 shares. In the last year, Facebook’s shares have traded in a range of 137.60 – 195.32. The share price has gained 32.18% from its 52 week low. The company’s shares are currently trading above their 200-day moving average. The stock’s 50-day moving average of $182.08 is greater than its 200-day moving average of $177.56. Shares of Facebook are trading at a Price to Earnings ratio of 33.74. Shares of Facebook have gained roughly 5.04 percent in the past month and are up 3.07 percent year-to-date.

On Tuesday, shares of Twitter recorded a trading volume of 22,096,927 shares, which was below the three months average volume of 29,420,776 shares. The stock ended the day 3.92% lower at 34.11. The share price has gained 141.57% from its 52 week low with a 52 week trading range of 14.12 – 35.84. The company’s shares are currently trading above their 200-day moving average. The stock’s 50-day moving average of $30.01 is greater than its 200-day moving average of $22.74. Shares of Twitter have gained roughly 2.0 percent in the past month and are up 42.07 percent year-to-date.
